Oktoberfest

Top: H&M Jeans: Target (couldn't find online, check your store!) Shoes: UO Bag: Steven by Steve Madden Sunglasses: BP Nordstrom Watch: Skagen Bracelets: Kate SpadeF21J.Crew Factory

This weekend we decided to head up to Snowbird for Oktoberfest. It was so fun to get up and see the fall foliage in the canyon and drink some delicious beer! I was kind of in a rush, so this is the outfit I threw on before we left. I am so excited about these floral pants, so prepare to see them much more 'styled' the next time I post an outfit with them!
It's finally starting to feel like fall here in Utah and I am loving it!
Hope you are having a great week so far! Thanks for reading!

Artsy

This week we ended up going to the BYU Museum of Art for one of Brady's school projects. My favorite exhibit that was going on was the Andy Warhol exhibit. I have learned a lot about him in some of my college art classes but never seen any of his work in person. It was really cool to see the Marilyn Monroe screen prints and of course the famous Campbell's Soup cans!
If you live in the area, you should definitely go! It's free and it was cool to see some artwork by one of America's most iconic artists.
Love the quote at the end too! It's so true!

I hope everyone had an amazing weekend!

dessertS

Sadly enough, I spent 90% of my weekend looking like this:

Hence the lack of posts this week, sorry about that!
I'm sure everyone has been in a similar state of just being purely overwhelmed with everything that you have to do, and usually a lack of time to do it. In our society we are all SO busy but stress can lead to many horrible things. I won't go into detail about those bad things because I am not trying to scare you but everyone needs to have a way to relax.
So I just wanted to share with you my top 5 ways to de-stress (not in any order)!

1. Yoga
image via
I know this is a total cliche, but yoga has truly helped me in so many ways. It took me a while to get into it, but I soon found how many different types of yoga there are! I really do believe that there is something for everyone. The best part about this for me is that my local Lululemon store has a free yoga class every Sunday. This has been the best part to end my weekend and rejuvenate for the week. I think that many of the Lululemon stores do something similar to this, so it's worth looking into! (Plus, they have some of the CUTEST workout clothes around!)

2. Exercise (in general)
image via
Everyone has heard this a million times but, exercise really is good for you! Especially for college students (like myself), when you are studying one of the best possible things you can do in-between study sessions is go exercise. Anything! A walk, a run, small exercises even in front of the TV. It helps stimulate the brain and it also gives you energy. This is important for overall health, and it does help reduce stress.

3. Get Organized
image via
I know I always feel much better when everything is organized. One thing I am really weird about is that whenever I leave town for vacation I always clean my apartment beforehand. Nothing feels better than coming home to a clean, organized house! Sometimes I even have to clean my apartment before I can get anything done because it drives me nuts!

4. Do something for YOU
image via
Doing something that you enjoy can help reduce stress. Whether it's getting a drink with friends, reading a book, or just watching your favorite reality TV show. One of my favorite things to do is to go get coffee and dessert or dinner with friends. Just being around other people helps me get out of my head and relax.

5. When all else fails, let it go
image via
This does not mean to give up, but sometimes things are out of your control and there is nothing else you can do! Talking to someone, a good friend, about whatever you are struggling with can help but sometimes there really is nothing you can do.

Those are a few things that I tend to do when I am stressed. I hope that I have inspired you to take some time out for yourself and de-stress.
Thank you so much for reading!

Snapshots

Here's a few snapshots from my week!

Oh, just channeling my inner prisoner while shopping at TJ Maxx.

Dinner for one? Even a mini wine bottle to go with it!

I like to treat myself well every once in a while..

I don't know what kind of sick joke this is but they made a big bouncy house slide out of the half sunken Titanic.

Just enjoying some 'killer mexican food' at the Red Iguana! (for those of you who watch the Food Network, this was featured on an episode of 'Diners, Drive-ins and Dives')

That's a little bit of what I have been up to besides studying!

I love this top so much. Normally I am not one for printed t-shirts but this was was a winner in my book. It says "Je Suis un fou d'amour", which means I am a fool for love! How cute is that?
I hope you are having a fabulous week so far!

Are you doing anything fun before the summer ends? Would love to hear about it!

Crazy

This week has turned out to be a little crazier than I thought it would be. Here are a few snapshots of what I have been up to!

Yummy Fattening treats at the farmers market

Flowers at the Farmers Market

Homemade Coconut Macarons aka the best cookies ever invented!

A new Parisian-inspired treasure from Kate Spade (gifted by my lovely grandparents in France)

Went and saw this movie the other day and I absolutely loved it. It's a romantic comedy but it's much more real than many of the others. I highly recommend it! I love Rashida Jones and Andy Samberg and if you like either of them, or both, I think you will really like this film. (watch the trailer here)

Is anybody else excited for corn mazes? I certainly am! This is kind of the big one that I go to every year (yes, I am 21 and still love to go to corn mazes). Personally, I think the design for this year is hilarious and that is part of the reason I am sharing it with you. Every year they plow something different in the maze and it is kind of 'corny' (no pun intended), but really.

Also, I am so excited that tonight I will be attending Fashion's Night Out at Fashion Place Mall! I am excited to meet some of the local fashion bloggers, since I am a noob to the blogging world. Expect a post on this later!

With that said, I would like to thank all of you who have supported my blog so far. I was so nervous to finally be starting one and I am so thankful for everyone who has taken the time to comment and visit my blog, it means a lot!
Thanks so much for reading!
