A Day In Park City

Before I disappeared from the blogosphere, my best friend Devin was in town and I had the pleasure of showing her around the Salt Lake City area. This always includes a trip up to Park City.

The Egyptian Theatre (Where some of the Sundance magic happens)/ Being Tourists

Popped into Main Street Pizza for delicious pizza with GIANT jalepeno slices on it. So hot, so good.

 Poor moose lost his antlers.
Another tourist photo-op, except we're locals.

We imitated some of the terrible advertisement poses that were in one of the alpaca stores.
Love all of the quaint little shops that are so full of color.
I would say Park City is a must if you are ever in Salt Lake! It's only about a half hour drive but it is just fun to walk around main street and all the little shops. Also, if you enjoy whiskey, I have heard that the High West Distillery is amazing both for food and drink.
It's finals week for me (two down, two to go), then Saturday I am off to NYC! Hope you have a fabulous Monday, thanks for reading!

Also, I have been hearing that Google Reader is about to shut down in a month and I would love for you to keep reading along via Bloglovin here!

When...

When your best friend is in town you take her on a date to Red Mango because it is so delicious.

And you take "Celebrity" photos. Ha when I took this picture of her she looked at it and said "Wow, this camera makes me look like a celebrity", so that's the joke now :), love you Dev!

Sorry for the blogging hiatus, again. Things have not been stellar in my personal life as of right now and I do not want to spill all the gory details on the internet. I want to keep this a positive place, not a negative one.

Today I am leaving with this quote and I am going to try and focus on the little things that are making my day brighter. What are some of yours?
I am going to NYC in a few weeks and could not be more excited. Any suggestions (especially for FOOD) would be greatly appreciated :).

A Day In Solomons

While I was in DC I had to make the trip down to Solomons, MD, the small town where I grew up.I used to go back every summer but as I have gotten older it has been harder to take the time off to go. I have so many fond memories of living here and wanted to share a few photos with you of the place I used to call home.

 Drum Point Lighthouse
Calvert Marine Museum
More of the Calvert Marine Museum

 The Pier
St. Mary's Church / 'Coney Island'- The Ice Cream place on the Pier. My favorite! It's only open during the summer though.
Where I used to sail in High School, so much fun!
These ducks usually have a different outfit on everyday. Sadly they were naked when I saw them but I still had to snap a photo. They have rain gear, easter outfits, christmas outfits. It's always a treat to go see what the ducks are wearing on the island.
The infamous Tiki bar. On April 19th, the streets will be closed off because there are SO many people that go to the opening of this place. It's kind of funny actually.
My old house. So many good memories here!
Last but not least, one of my very best friends Katie and I.
I was so glad to see her and get to spend some time and catch up after 3 years. Her family is like my adopted family so it is always good to spend time with the people you love who live far away.
That is the last of my trip to DC! I had a lot of fun and can't wait to go back!
Hope you all had a great April Fools Day! Did you pull any good pranks or have them pulled on you?
Thanks for reading!
