NYC: Part Two

Our second day in New York we headed wayyyyyy downtown to the 9/11 Memorial. The last time I was there was about two years after 9/11, when the site was just a big hole in the ground. It was very emotional for me even though I was so young and still is.
What they have done with the memorial is, in my opinion, just perfect. It's meant to be a place for reflection, to remember that terrible day and honor all the innocent people that died and it's the perfect place. Both of the fountains are in the original foundations of where the towers once stood. Although they make you jump through hoops (not literally) to get there, I think that it is a must if you are visiting New York. At least once.

The future museum building (still in construction).
Then we grabbed a slice of pizza and headed down to Battery Park.
Passing Trinity Church along the way.
We may have grabbed a pretzel dog as well...when in New York, right?
Admired Lady Liberty from a far then we walked the Brooklyn Bridge

 I love New York!
Outfit details:
Jacket: Thrifted Shirt: Old Navy (my new favorite go-to white tee!) Scarf: F21Pants: J.Crew (old, similar) Shoes: Sole Society (no longer available, loving this style) Bag: Kate Spade (old similar)

After letting our feet rest, headed to Patsy's Pizzeria, Bloomingdales, and Dylans Candy Bar for the evening.
Mmm..pizza round 2.

All in all, a successful day exploring the city.
Happy Tuesday, thanks for reading!

xo, Amy
